The project which has a duration of 12 months, aims at identifying common procedures and technological solutions, so as to improve the sharing of information between the member States of the Schengen area: The target is to effectively fight against the transnational criminal networks dedicated to the traffic of stolen vehicles. The project pursues the ultimate objective of defining a common procedure for the registration and repatriation of stolen vehicles. Among the activities foreseen, the project includes the organization of an international conference and other preliminary activities of preparation to the conference, as well as various concluding initiatives aiming at diffusing the results of the event and evaluating the level of application of the agreed procedures.
