Protected Areas - Managing Protected Areas

The training course of the guide-line Protected Areas in the ambit of the Balkans 2 Project in Kokani, Macedonia, continues. The beneficiaries of the activities are civil servants and executives from the central and local Macedonian Public Administration involved in the management of Protected Areas. In the second module, themes on the management of Protected Areas were analyzed in depth with particular reference to the Park Plan, the Park regulations, the Management Plan of the Natura 2000 and the monitoring of biodiversities for nature conservation. The meeting was an occasion for an exchange of experiences between Italy and Macedonia about the numerous possibilities of socio-economic development of local communities living within the Protected Areas. The activities foresee the intervention of Ms Fabiana Panchetti and Mr Matteo Magaudda (Temi srl, Rome). The Formez expert who offered his expertise for the training modules on protected areas in Macedonia was Alessandro Bardi, engineer (Temi srl, Roma). Durata: 3 days
