Mission to Egypt

Between September 30th and October 3rd, the third country mission took place in Egypt in the ambit of the Support Programme for Regional Cooperation – South Mediterranean. The mission was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Cairo and headed by Silvia Godelli, Councillor for Mediterranean of the Puglia Region. The Italian delegation involved functionaries from the Puglia, Basilicata and Sardinia regions for the 5 intervention guide-lines of the programme as well as representatives from the Ministry of Economy and UTI. Meetings were held with the institutional representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Local Development, Transport, Development of Fishing Resources, Water and Environment, Irrigation, Healthcare, the Supreme Council of Antiquities, the Children's Hospital Abou El Rish and with the representatives of the delegation from Siwa and the local NGO ""Siwa Friends"".
