Mission to Morocco

Between July 18th and 21st 2006, the second mission took place in Morocco in the ambit of the Support Programme for Regional Cooperation РSouth Mediterranean. The mission was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Rabat and headed by Annamaria Catte, Director for Services for Community and International Affairs РIndependent Region of Sardinia, Head of the Framework Programme Agreement for the South Mediterranean countries and lead structure for Morocco. The Italian delegation in Morocco included the representatives from the Italian Regional System: Giorgio Garelli for the Piemonte region, Mariano Marchetiello for the Campania region, Luigi Gianfranceschi for the Basilicata region and Marco Sechi for the Sardinia region as well as thematic experts and technical assistance from Formez. Meetings were held with the institutional representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Tourism, Handicrafts and Social Economics, Territorial Management, Water and Environment, Industry and Trade, Infrastructure and Transport and Healthcare together with the regional representatives from the Regions of Rabat, Chaouia Ouardigha and Tangeri-T̩touan.
