Twinning Tunisia: Tunisian Development Body Functionaries on a Study Tour to Italy by the Veneto Region

From November 24th to 30th 2008 by the Veneto Region, a study visit was held under the Twinning Project Institutional Building of Regional Development Agencies for the Promotion of Private Investment , in which Tunisian Senior Executives took part.
The visit focussed on the communication and information strategies and tools which have been activated by the Vebeto Region for the consolidation of the process of local economic development. The event was divided into specific sessions dedicated to the tools which have been adopted by the various departments of the regional administration and the structures of support to the private sector which interact with it.
Veneto is a case of excellence on the Intranet and more in general, on information and communication as well as information systems in the sphere of the Italian Public Administration.
The first session was held at the Scientific and Technological Park VEGA: Ms Anna Ditta in representation of the Veneto Region and Ms Lucia Santuccione on behalf of Formez, outlined the Twinning Project and its four components as well as the partnership structure, while Mr Rached Ben Saleh in representation of the Tunisian Ministry for Development and International Cooperation, presented the organization of Tunisian Regional Development Bodies. Mr Nicolò Brignoli and Mr Vittorio Panciera respectively described the activities of the Directorate of the Veneto Region in Brussels and the territorial peculiarities together with the role of the regional administration. Ms Stefania De Santi from Unioncamere del Veneto spoke about the European network Friends of Europe, while Mr Fabrizio Alvisi described the role of the Centro Estero Camere di Commercio del Veneto ; Mr Corrado Marchetti and MrAlessandro Di Paolo focussed on business internationalization
Subsequently, the visit concentrated on practical training at the Direction for IT System of the Veneto Region. Chief Director Bruno Salomoni welcomed the delegation, while Mr Gianluigi Cogo outlined in details communication strategies and tools, their functioning and Intranet applications.
In conclusion, to participate in the City Logistics Expo in Padua offered the delegates the opportunity for experiencing practical examples of public-private partnership on the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding which establishes collaboration among Hungarian, Italian, Brasilian and Russian structures.
The meeting with Padova Promex  and APIndustria laid the basis for the future visit of the Veneto Region delegation to Tunisia on the occasion of the next meeting of presentation of sectoral studies and documentantion of Tunisian territorial marketing.
