Twinning Bosnia and Herzegovina. Study Visit of the Bosnian Delegation to CNIPA and LAit SpA and Final Event
Over the last few weeks, the closing activities of the Project Twinning Light Capacity Building of the Directorate for CIPS have been carried out.
By providing professional support and sharing of experiences in the sector of information technologies and the procedures of physical and logic security, this project has contributed toward institutional capacity building and to enhancing database and application efficiency of competence of the IDDEEA Agency, a key actor in the field of Information Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
From February 9th to 14th in Rome, the study visit of the Bosnian officials from the IDDEEA Agency was held to some of the most relevant Italian PA entities, namely CNIPA, LAit SpA and CISIS.
During the two-day meeting at CNIPA, the Public Connectivity System (the PA communication network) and the state of the art of the ID card and the digital signature in Italy were outlined. In her opening speech, Ms Caterina Cittadino, General Manager of CNIPA, underlined that the objective of the Italian PA innovation will be possible only by increasing research and the sharing of best practices also by augmenting the number of meetings and experiences abroad.
The visit to Lait SpA opened with the welcome speech of the Director General, Ms Alessandra Poggiani, who outlined the role played by society in the governance of irfomatization processes in the Lazio region. In his closing speech the President of Lait, Mr Regino Brachetti, declared: “I would like to thank Formez for involving us in this initiatives which pursues and confirms LAit commitment to the development of e-government and interoperability. I hope that the activities carried out by us, will not only be useful for explaining how we implement innovation in the Lazio region but also for giving inputs to study in depth contingent topics of collaboration between our structures”. During the meeting which was held at CISIS, the current technical-organizational scenarios on interoperability between Italian regions were described with particular focus on the model of application cooperation developed under ICAR. On February 26 the closing press conference of the project to the IDDEEA Agency in Banja Luka, the key results of the projects were outlined to the representatives of the European Commission delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, of the Italian institutions, Formez and CSI-Piemonte which through the provision of professional support and sharing of experiences in ICT and security procedures, contributed toward the agency’s institutional capacity building.
The project was considered by all the speakers present that day, to be an important contribution to the process of Bosnian PA reform as well as one of the key pre-conditions toward the integration of Bosnia in the European Union.
