The project for managing industrial accidents in Romania has started
02/02/2006 - TEIAMM 2 (Trans-boundary Effects of Industrial Accidents Management Model) is a continuance of the project TEIAMM, which developed on-the-spot education interventions and research activities for the Romanian Authorities on industrial plants at risk of chemical-industrial accidents, with the preparation of emergency plans, management emergencies and incentives for capacity building initiatives. TEIAMM 2 aims to realize a system for managing environmental damages provoked by industrial accidents and based on inter-connectivity and web-based geographical distribution.
The main initiatives are: a Management System accessible to certified final users for selection and census of industrial sites at risk of accident; definition and analysis of toxic emissions and risks for each plant; collection of information related to the management and implementation of accidents. An Information System containing data and information about industrial risks, measures to be adopted to monitor these risks and what to do in case of accidents.
