Final Conference for the Twinning Poland Project "Implementation of the Integrated Regional Operational Programme"

26/04/2006 - On April 26th, 2006, the final conference for the Twinning Polonia project "Implementation of the Integrated Regional Operational Programme" was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw.
Formez played a key role in the project which lasted for 25 months. The Institute managed the administrative and financial activities of the project and contributed to pursuing the expected results with the valuable collaboration of Ms Spezzano as the mid-term expert and coordinator of the training and communications components.
Ms Anna Sjeida, the Polish project leader, and the staff from the Polish Ministry of Regional Development, who is the final beneficiary of the project, thanked all those who worked together for the realization of the activities and the achievement of the objectives, among who were Ms Iolanda Anselmo, RTA, the technical secretariat staff and experts invited by the project partners, such as the mandated bodies of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, Formez, the Italian regions of Basilicata, Emilia Romagna and Friuli Venezia Giulia as well as France as a junior partner.

Of great importance were the speeches of the Italian Ambassador, Ms Anna Blefari Melazzi, and Mr Fabrizio Barca, Head of Development Policies at the Ministry of the Economy and Finance. The two speakers emphasised the need to organize the excellent results achieved within an enlarged framework of agreements and cooperation with Poland which, together with the project just concluded, form the basis already created.
