The new on-line Portal for International Cooperation providing Support for the Regions

07/06/2006 - The new user-friendly version of the portal “International Cooperation – Support to Cooperation for the Italian Regions” (http://km.formez.it/mae/) was implemented in the ambit of the “Programme of Support to Regional Cooperation” and promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to which Formez provides technical assistance.
The portal represents a work tool for the regions in order to facilitate daily project activities among operators who are often geographically distant. Through a reserved area they have the opportunity to virtually meet for work meetings, obtain, insert and exchange documents, as well as exchange information in the field of international cooperation. The Home Page offers a range of news and events from the world of cooperation, in order to update users on the most relevant issues. In the section “Programma", users can visualize the mission related to the “Programme of Support to Regional Cooperation”, the activities of technical assistance aimed at the Italian regions as well as an interesting observations on regional cooperation projects. In the same section, system actions which have been carried out so far, are available and the latest press reviews about publications regarding the initiative. Under "Documenti" which is also continuously updated, operators can find official documents of reference regarding international cooperation, while under "Link" they can view the most relevant websites of interest. One section is entirely dedicated to the Italian regions and provides special information about each one of them, from important events to news about cooperation and official sectoral documentation. The same structure is available for the sections regarding the area of interest of this programme, South-Eastern European countries and South Mediterranean countries. Since March 1st 2006, the portal has offered users a Newsletter on international cooperation with a selection of the most interesting items extracted from the website and divided into 5 macro-actions (news, events, tenders, partner research and schedules of the activities).
