General Objectives:

  • Strengthening the Polish monitoring system for health in the field of water resources with regard to:
  • Risks related to the treatment, storage and supply of drinkable water
  • Risks related to the use of water for leisure and sport purposes
  • Monitoring water radio-activity

Actions:

  • Elaboration and implementation of an evaluation system for the risk of legionellosis
  • Elaboration and implementation of an evaluation system for water radio-activity
  • Preparation and implementation of a health monitoring system concerning the substances which are used for water treatment and those materials which may pollute water in compliance with EU standards
  • 180 employees from the National Health Inspectorate (NIH) and the National Sanitary Institute (NSI) to be trained for monitoring the Legionella bacteria in the water
  • 180 employees from the National Health Inspectorate (NIH) and the National Sanitary Institute (NSI) to be trained for monitoring water radio-activity
  • 180 employees from the National Health Inspectorate (NIH) and the National Sanitary Institute (NSI) to be trained for assessing materials and products which pollute water
  • 180 employees from the National Health Inspectorate (NIH) and the National Sanitary Institute (NSI) to be trained to monitor the water quality for sport and leisure centres
