POLAND - Implementation of Communicable Diseases Epidemiological Surveillance

 
Medium –term objectives:
The general objective of the project is to strengthen the national system for epidemiological surveillance to guarantee a better control of communicable diseases through the implementation of professional knowledge of the personnel employed in the institutions involved.
More specifically the project aims at:

  • Strengthening the surveillance system of communicable diseases
  • Improving knowledge of computer analysis methods and instruments in epidemiology
  • Improving analysis of temporal and geographical trends of communicable diseases

 
Results:

  •  Training programme concerning reporting and analysis of selected communicable diseases
  •  Training Course for 32 SSI employees
  •  Professional qualifications and knowledge of SSI employees increased in the field of computer analysis methods in epidemiology
  •  Internet course in surveillance on communicable diseases for SSI employees realized and implemented
