Medium-term objectives:

  • To ensure access to high-quality medical services, including emergency medical assistance to members from ethnic minorities, in particular for the Rom community, the disabled and inhabitants from remote areas.
  • To improve the standard of life by reducing disabilities caused by emergency cases with particular reference to the disadvantaged (ethnic minorities), especially the Rom minority, with particular reference to cardio-vascular diseases.

Actions

  • To lay the basis for the further development of a model of two multi-purpose hospitals for active treatment including the establishment of centres for emergency medical treatment
  • Creation of a complete database
  • Modernization of medical and non-medical equipment and transport vehicles
  • Purchase of a mobile diagnostic unit with modern equipment
  • Re-organization of multi-purpose hospitals for active treatment including centres for emergency medical treatment
  • Training of the medical and administrative staff of the two pilot hospitals on EMC models
  • Awareness-raising campaign regarding behaviour and response to emergency cases
