ROMANIA - Developing the Institutional and Administrative Capacity of the Romanian Regional Development Agencies
The aim of this project is to strengthen the institutional, programming, administrative and coordination capacities of the Regional Development Agency and local governments in the developing South West Oltenia region of Romania, in order to prepare these regional institutions and structures for implementation of the support provided by the European Union, in line with the Structural Funds and other relevant regulations on accession.
Medium-term objectives:
- harmonizing regional RDA to EC regulations on 2007-2013 Structural Funds
- training the RDA staff on related issues
- developing local government projects within the regions with the know-how on Structural Funds and related issues
- identifying specific projects, their development and preparation for tenders
Expected results:
With reference to training, the RDA staff for the management of Structural Funds:
- Consolidation of internal structures for managing and implementing national and EU funds in compliance with 2007-2013 SF regulations
- Training and seminars for the RDA staff
In the elaboration of the guide-lines for regional projects:
- Seminars for potential regional beneficiaries on the identification and development of regional projects in reference to the 2007-2013 Regional Operational Programme in the field of regional infrastructure through the integration of social factors
- Support to the preparation of the regional guide-lines (identification and development of projects eligible for Structural Funds)
