CROATIA - Preparing the Establishment of the SIRENE Office

 
General objective:
 
The general objective of the project is the implementation of the Acquis Communautaire in the field of Cooperation of Police and Customs. The establishment and development of the  S.I.R.E.N.E office is one of the necessary actions to be undertaken in compliance with Schengen Acquis criteria.
Specific objective:

The project intends to pursue the following specific objective: preparing the Croatian Police for the establishment of the S.I.R.E.N.E. Office and the effective sharing of SIS-related information and data.
This objective will be pursued under the following components:

• Planning and approval of a Road Map by the Ministry of the Interior and the stakeholders for the S.I.R.E.NE. Office in Croatia
• Realization and adoption by the Ministry of the Interior of the legal and organization/personnel guide-lines 
• Realization of a plan for stakeholders’ awareness-raising and its implementation through workshops, in order to enhance the knowledge of the topics developed by the office with the stakeholders
