ASSET - Assistance to the Social Economic Development of the Territory

 
Medium-term objectives:
 
The objectives are the following:

• To promote the economic development of the country through the strengthening of collaboration with international organizations and various international institutions as well as the preparation of sound economic and commercial policies; the integration of Albania into the international community and international institutes
• To enhance and promote the institutional capacity of the Albanian Ministry of Economy with specific reference to economic planning
• To encourage development in the various sectors of local economy through the process of decentralization and participation in the decision-making processes on the part the Shkoder and Durazzo regions

 
Actions:

•  Training and technical assistance for the civil servants from the Albanian Ministry of Economy for the establishment and activation of a One-Stop-Shop for Production Activities. Under these activities, a study tour on the One-Stop-Shop was held in Italy through which participants and civil servants from the ministry and representatives from local territories could exchange ideas and observe various situations at administrative and decision-making levels where the One-Stop-Shop represents an Italian best practice for administrative facilitation (Municipality and Province of Bologna and Municipality of Rome).
• Training and technical assistance for civil servants and development agents from the regions and municipalities of Shkoder and Durazzo to establish an interactive database necessary for the creation of a territorial marketing and planning system. The interactive database will allow for the systematization of the information heritage on the territory in the various sectors involved in order to have a clearer vision of the Albanian territory.
