MEDITEATRI.PA - institutional Building of Ob.1 in the Field of Cultural Cooperation

 
Medium-term objectives:
The project aims to strengthen the competencies of regional and local administrations in Southern Italy for the enhancement and utilization of the ancient cultural heritage through collaboration and exchanges with the South Mediterranean countries. In particular, the project focuses on the enhancement of ancient theatres in the area, in order to promote them internationally for cultural tourism.
The strengthening of the inter-regional dialogue has been pursued through institutional building, and the consolidation of the regional and local administration capacities in Southern Italy through the sharing of best practices for the improvement and fruition of the ancient theatre heritage.
Actions:

•  Assessment of the ancient theatres in the area of reference and the creation of an experimental database
• Research conducted on the basis of examples and best practices implemented at national and international level for the improvement and utilization of the ancient theatre heritage;
•  Increased capabilities for the economic improvement and fruition of the ancient theatre heritage
•  Definition of partnerships between Ob. 1 Regions and third countries and experimentation of best practices
• Shared definition of innovative interventions in terms of optimization of the cultural heritage
• Creation of an ad hoc portal
• Setting up innovative communications methods
