Medium-term objectives:
The general objective of the project is to facilitate EU Structural Funds absorption capacity through the Regional Operational Programme – ROP.
The aim of the technical assistance contract is the following:
·         To enhance/develop expertise of the final beneficiaries in preparing the project proposals which currently correspond to the National Development Plan priorities
·         To increase the know-how for decision-makers in reference to the new requests and obligations which final beneficiaries must meet in terms of organizational structure, HR, partnerships, etc…
·         To improve Training Units capacities in the framework of MEI and RDA

Expected results

  • Updating the Programme for Regional Development Training (PRDT) for 2007 – 2013
  • Development of a Training Action Plan 2007 – 2009
  • Establishment of a group of trainers (minimum 30 people for Regional Policy – 6 persons at national level and 24 at regional levels)
  • Training approximately 200 staff in SF ROP/NP management (50 from MEI and 150 from RDAs and the CBC regional offices)
  • Training approximately 1840 potential ROP/NP final beneficiaries (400 in Basic training and 1440 in Advanced training)
  • Planning, development, production and distribution of training material (including a Quick Guide).
  • Informing about 560 decision-makers about the training opportunities and obligations as SF final beneficiaries.
