BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - Capacity Building of the Directorate for CIPS
Medium-term objectives:
Twinning Bosnia and Herzegovina. Final Event
On February 26 2009 in Banja Luka, the final event of the Twinning Light Project "Capacity Building of the Directorate for CIPS - Bosnia and Herzegovina" will be held.
The Study Visit of the Bosnian Delegation
During the study visit, the Bosnian functionaries of the IDDEEA Agency, the beneficiary of the project, will visit the following entities:
- CNIPA, so as to study in depth the topics related to the electronic identity card, the digital signature and the SPC - Public Connectivity System;
Training Session N°3
From January 26th to 30th, a training session will be held in Banja Luka aimed at a maximum of 10 employees from the agency involved. The two-day session refers to the Twinning Light Proposal for Partnership related to the Project "Capacity Building of the Directorate for CIPS (Citizen Identification Protection System)" and will focus on physical and logical security.

From November 17th to 21st, a training session will be held in Sarajevo aimed at a group of a maximum of 10 employees from the agency involved.

Civil Protection - Third Basic Course Module
The third module of the civil protection basic course in Bosnia was dedicated to ""Activities of Prevision and Prevention"". On the first day Mr. Alessandrini and Ms Pasqualini dealt with the concept of risk with a focus on the natural and anthropic risks as well as the elaboration of potential scenarios.
Civil Protection - Second Module of the Basic Course
The second module of the basic civil protection course focussed on cartography and the geographical information systems (GIS). Participants were involved in on-the-spot practical training to detect geographical coordinators through GPS receivers. Durata: 2 days
Bosnia - Sarajevo - Basic Course Module in Civil Protection
The third module were dedicated to the activities of prevision and prevention. Teachers developed the concept of risk and related dangers as well as the criteria for planning. Durata: 2 days
Civil Protection - Fourth Basic Module - Bosnia
From October 8th to 10th in Bosnia, Mr. Galanti carried out the tasks attributed to him with regard to the establishment of an emergency plan, planning and programming of interventions and finally the creation of a pre-alarm system and its integration in the plan. Durata: 3 days
Civil Protection - Regulatory and organizational aspects of civil protection in BiH-Bosnia
Basic Course on civil protection in Bosnia, first module. Topics such as legislation in BiH and civil protection competencies at national and local level will be dealt with. Furthermore, participants discuss the European Union and the key strategic guide-lines for civil protection with reference to the Italian organizational model (critical factors and intervention methods.) Durata: 3 days
